As a child, I spent countless hours in my Grandmother Juanita’s flower shop in Reedsport, Oregon. I’d sit listening and watching my Grandma and her designers laugh and visit while carefully choosing the perfect flowers and plants to create exquisite designs. Delivering those same flowers with my Grandfather brought me so much joy. Those afternoons with my Grandparents inspired my lifelong passion for bringing beauty into the world, wherever possible. 

I founded my company, Distinctive Designs by Denice, in 1996 after studying floral design at Mount Hood Community College and completing my bachelors degree in Business Administration at Southern Oregon University. Over time, I learned so much about not only the art and craft of flower design, but also the business of helping people bring their dreams to life. I honed my skills to become a special events designer, because it became important for me to do more than floral design – I wanted to know how to bring all the elements of a special event together, and totally delight my clients.
